OccasionAI uses minimal, functional browser storage technologies to maintain secure user sessions, preserve transient styling drafts across OAuth redirects, and operate the personal styling application.
2. Specific Storage Mechanisms Used by OccasionAI
A. Essential Session Cookies (Supabase Auth)
HTTP-only authentication cookies (such as sb-access-token and sb-refresh-token) issued by Supabase. These cookies secure your account session so you stay signed in as you navigate between pages.
B. Session Storage (`sessionStorage`)
Transient browser storage used to hold occasionai_consultation_draft (your chosen occasion, budget tier, and style preferences) and occasionai_auto_resume flags during Google OAuth authentication. Session storage items automatically clear when you close the browser tab or complete look generation.
C. IndexedDB Storage
Client-side IndexedDB storage (occasionai_pending_photo) temporarily retains uploaded portrait image files during the authentication flow so you do not lose your uploaded photo when redirected to Google Sign-In. Pending photos are cleared immediately upon look generation completion.
